Traditional Astrology, Magic, and Sundry Matters
House based elections are among the most sophisticated and complex techniques in the repertoire of astrological magic. Rather than relying on the essential nature of a single planet to cause a magical effect, house based elections use the aspects between planets ruling the houses that signify the matter to bring about a desired change.

Algol, a fixed star in the Perseus constellation, is one of the 15 Behenian Stars described in Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy as well as earlier works on astrological magic. It is a star with an evil reputation and has been associated with death, decapitation, and malefic power by a wide variety of cultures.

Regulus is one of the 15 Behenian Stars described in Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy as well as earlier works on astrological magic. It has always been regarded as a star associated with royalty and thus Regulus talismans are often made to attract success in endavours, happiness and wellbeing, favours from powerful people, and a royal bearing.

The Sun has been stalking his way through Aries on his padded leonine paws for the last few weeks. Here the Sun expresses itself in its most powerful and unrestrained form. Being exalted in Aries, the Sun is magnificent, potent and manifests his royal power.

Mars is dignified by domicile in Aries until 14 February where he has been sojourning since the beginning of the year. For most of this time Mars has been squared by Saturn, but he is finally past this which enables us to make practical and helpful use of his power for our own benefit. It is a good time to do all those martial things you’ve been putting off like crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you and hearing the lamentation of their women.

Jupiter, the Greater Benefic, is very strong and dignified in Sagittarius, the sign of his rulership, from 2 November 2018 to 4 December 2019, although he is retrograde between 10 April and 11 August 2019. This is a very good time to make talismans and do magick to increase wealth, bring prosperity, increase and abundance into your life. It is also a wonderful time to improve your spirituality and your connection to Divine Providence in its most benefic form.

Or a ruler, or simply someone in a position of authority, such as the police, the government, or perhaps a boss. I think this will be the last of the curse elections for now simply because the weather is too nice to be searching for terribly inauspicious times.
