This Sun talisman for Success and Invincibilty was created while the Sun was extremely strong in Leo. Leo is the home of the Sun and is a sign associated with kings, royalty, success and fame.
The talisman was created during very rare electional conditions prescribed in the Picatrix to make its bearer invincible, to achieve success in all one’s works and to be protected from false dreams.
The election and creation
The Sun is dignified by domicile in Leo and to fulfil the following conditions described in the Picatrix:
“If you wish not to be conquered and to complete what you begin, and to be protected from false dreams, make under the influence of the Sun the form of a lion, and above it the four images already spoken of, with the Sun rising in Leo and the malefics cadent and not aspecting the Sun, in a red stone. And whomever carries this stone will not be conquered by anyone and what they begin will proceed completely to the end…”
The ritual invocation of the Sun and the consecration of the talisman occurred during the elected time, and the talismanic image was hand scribed on to the back of a 25x18mm carnelian cabochon. The stone was then set in a silver pendant setting.
How talismans work
Celestial talismans created during an elected time when the planetary force is particularly potent are batteries of intelligent energy animated by the Angel or Intelligence who rules that celestial object. One can think of them as physical embodiments of the virtue of a particular planet or star and carrying the talisman imbues the wearer with the virtue.
