This mansion, al-Nathrah, is for love and friendship, for safe journeys by land, to cause friendship between allies, to strengthen the incarceration of captives and for their destruction, to expel vermin and insects, and for victory in battles and petitions. You can find more information about the Lunar Mansions here.
The Election
The time is set for London on 25 February (yes, that’s today, apologies for the short notice) at 8:23PM.
The Moon is waxing and it culminates in the 8th Lunar Mansion. The Moon makes applying trines to Mercury, and to both the benefics, Venus and Jupiter.
The Work
The Picatrix gives a specific image and working for this mansion for victory, and recommends that one makes an image in tin of an eagle with the face of a man. The name of the Spirit of this Mansion is inscribed on its chest (Annediex, according to the Sage of the Picatrix, and Amnediel, according to Agrippa). The image is then suffumigated with sulphur, and the Spirit is evoked and petitioned to grant victory in battle.
Of course, the workings described in the Picatrix are only suggestions of what is possible, and, if you are not in urgent need of victory over your enemies, you can modify the image and ritual for some of the other uses of this mansion .
This election is particularly useful to seek love and friendship, given that the Moon is aided by trines to both benefics. In this instance, the image would be modified to reflect these friendly intentions and the suffumigation offered to the Spirit, rather than sulphur, would be suitably pleasant.
